1. Talk about the problem first.

Donald Miller said to me, “Unless you are talking about a persons problem, they’re not listening”. So take a moment and write down you customers problems. There will be more than one. 


Once you have written them down, it’s now time to choose the main one and then dig a little deeper. Normally this means making it worse by expressing “how they feel.” 

2. Give the solution to the problem you just stated

Don’t give a long drawn out pre-amble. Make it short. People don’t want a long dissertation. They want to know if you can help them and they don’t want to waste their time.

Make it sound like a new idea.

3. It’s happy ending time but it must include how they will ‘feel’.
