For many brands, email marketing can be hit and miss, but it shouldn’t be overlooked as part of your overall marketing strategy. This article will teach you how to write a StoryBrand Email Sequence.
Email marketing still has the highest ROI of any form of marketing today!
Today I thought I would share some ACTUAL RESULTS from our own email campaigns.
Below you will see the results from three nurturing campaigns, approximately 60,000 emails sent.
The open rate is 3X the industry average for marketing and advertising.
The Click Through Rate is 6X the industry average.
The marketing and advertising industry is full of “experts” … yet a good email sequence written on the StoryBrand Principles will outperform most marketers, most of the time!
Here are my top 3 tips to get results like these:
1. Spend time crafting your subject lines: Typically I spend 50% of my time thinking about the headlines and 50% on the email copy. If you want ideas from a copywriting Guru, get the book “how to write copy that sells” by Ray Edwards.
2. Stop selling: this may sound counterintuitive, but people are smart, they don’t like to be sold to. I start every email by asking; how can I serve my audience better, what do they need? Sure, at some point you need to ask for the sale, but lay the groundwork first. Build trust….. trust is everything. Serve before Selling.
3. Test, measure and adjust: Where possible, you should test multiple versions of your headline. I have seen cases where a different headline can increase your open rate by 20%.
See how our team can drive an insane amount of highly targeted traffic to your website and then convert it.
Most websites don’t convert, your’s will.
SEO that ranks:
Get on the first page of Google, guaranteed.
Ads that work:
Clear predictable returns.
Our team will create the images, write the articles and grow your brand.
Go away and write 5 emails that offer your prospects tremendous value, share your knowledge to help make their lives/business better, then insert them into your email sequences.
If you don’t have an email nurturing sequence, start by writing one or two emails, then add to the sequence each week…. slow and steady wins the race!
